Abstract
The article highlights the changes that have taken place in Ukraine and around the world in the procedure of certification assessment of graduates in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The factors that currently hinder the transfer of external independent assessment from offline to online format in Ukraine are outlined. Measures to transfer certification assessment from offline to online format in the medium term are highlighted.
