Abstract

The process of reforming the education system requires addressing the issue of improving knowledge control and the introduction of information and communication technologies to determine the level of student achievement. Today, one of the central methods of knowledge control is computer testing. But when using testing to control the knowledge of students in higher mathematics, a necessary condition is to ensure the quality of the developed tests. The process of assessing the quality of tests involves the processing of large amounts of data and the use of complex mathematical and statistical methods, which requires a high level of professionalism of test developers. Therefore, there is a need to identify new components of professional competencies of teachers, in particular the competence to assess the quality of tests in higher mathematics. Under the competence of the teacher to assess the quality of tests in higher mathematics we understand the willingness and ability of the teacher to use ICT to calculate the characteristics of the test, test tasks and on the basis of these characteristics to assess the quality of individual tasks and objectively draw conclusions about the quality of the test. in the educational process to control the knowledge of students in higher mathematics. The use of tests in higher mathematics to control students' knowledge requires such a level of teacher competence in assessing these tests that will ensure high reliability, validity and effectiveness of the developed tests. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the criteria that determine the levels of competence in assessing the quality of tests in higher mathematics. When choosing the criteria of competence for assessing the quality of tests in higher mathematics, the content of the components of the competence structure is taken into account: value-motivational, cognitive and operational-activity. That is, the criteria for determining the levels of development of teachers' competence in assessing the quality of tests are the criteria for the levels of development of its components.
