Abstract

Improving the professional requirements for teachers, increasing competition in the market of educational services, use of the most advanced technologies of educational activity, changes in the resource provision necessitate continuous improvement of the professional activity of the teacher and its adaptation to the requirements of modern society. A significant role in solving these issues is played by the system of teachers professional development of higher education institution as the purposefully organized interaction of subjects of the educational process. It was established that such subjects are the teacher, the head of the department, the dean of the faculty, the director of the institute, the university administration. To ensure the effectiveness of the system of professional development management, the teachers of the management departments of the Republic of Poland offer to consider the professional development of teachers in conjunction with the construction of individual development strategies based on the development strategies of the management departments, economics faculties, management institutes and universities. The above concept is the basis of the proposed model of the Professional Development Management System for faculty members of the Department of Management of the Universities of the Republic of Poland. This model contains four components; purposeoriented, theoretical-methodological, technological and productive-reflexive. Based on PEST, SWOT-analyzes and Strategies for the Development of Higher Education in the Republic of Poland by 2020, the development of university strategies is underway. One of the important sections of these strategies is the professional development of teachers. This is due to the fact that the teacher provides the quality of education, and his professional development improves this quality. Therefore, one of the priority tasks of each university is to increase the professional competence of teachers in order to improve the quality of education in the institution. In order to solve the problems, special organizational and pedagogical conditions were proposed. The research shows that this model of the system would lead to an increase in the professional level of the teachers, and, accordingly, to improve the quality of higher education in the Republic of Poland.
