Abstract

In the article the system of development of profile education in the high school in the age of independence is analyzed. The essence of the concept of “profile training” is revealed. The purpose and tasks of profile training are outlined. The principles on which profile training is based are characterized: furcation; variability and alternatives; continuity and continuity; flexibility; diagnostic and prognostic feasibility. The list of normative documents regulating the reform of education and general secondary education in Ukraine, in particular: Law of Ukraine “On Education” (1991); “Concept of secondary comprehensive national school of Ukraine” (1991); “Provisional Regulation on Secondary School of Ukraine” (1992); “Program for the Development of Public Education of the Ukrainian SSR for the Transition Period (1991–1995)”; “The concept of becoming a network of secondary education institutions for the development of creative talent” (1996); “Concept of the State Standard of General Secondary Education of Ukraine” (1997); “Basic Curriculum of Secondary Education Establishments of Ukraine” (1998); Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers “On the Transition of General Educational Institutions to a New Content, Structure and 12-Year Study Period” (2000); The National Doctrine of Educational Development (2001); Presidential Decree “On the National Doctrine of Educational Development” (2002); “Concept of profile education in high school” (2003); State National Program “Education” (21st Century Ukraine) (2005); Law on General Secondary Education (2010); National Strategy for the Development of Education for the Period until 2021 (2013); “Concept of the New Ukrainian School” (2016); Government Priority Action Plan for 2020 (2017); “Draft Conceptual Framework for the Reform of Vocational Education in Ukraine” Contemporary Vocational Education” (2018) and others. Priority tasks for introduction of profile education in school education of Ukraine, which are given in these documents, are outlined. Perspective ideas on introduction and development of profile education into the education of high school students are analyzed. The structure of the profile high school is outlined. The list of secondary education institutions providing training for vocational students is givenn.
