Abstract
The author stated that the current globalization transformations have a cardinal impact on all spheres of human life, including education. Under the influence of globalization, common trends in the development of education at the global level are formed. This imposes the necessity to study educational phenomena from a comparative point of view, going beyond the national framework. The author concluded that the comparative component of a dissertation research is a requirement of modernity under globalization, openness of scientific ideas and educational practices, development of supranational educational spaces, interrelation of educational realities.
