Abstract

Civic Internet participation is considered as a communication mediated interaction of citizens with the help of information Internet technologies with the purpose of influencing acceptance and approval decisions, solving problems of individuals and groups, and direct participation in socio-political processes. The Internet space is a hybrid environment created by means of the information and communication technologies (ICT) in the course of integration of the elements of real and virtual life. The article stated that the fact that civic Internet participation in each country acquires its own special characteristics and, depending on national and cultural traditions, different models of Internet participation are formed. It is established that civic Internet participation can be carried out by conventional and unconventional forms of Internet communication. Emphasizes that mastering the various forms of civic online participation contributes to the development of civic competence of young people; thanks to the technological capabilities of Internet technologies, the model of civic participation changes from linear (vertically constructed) to broad (multidirectional) civic participation. The results of the study of forms of civic Internet participation applied by young citizens of the country are presented. It was found that the most popular among young people are forms of online contact. 92% of respondents take part in social surveys and polls, have their own pages on social networks, 50% register on sites for the purpose of signing an electronic petition; 3% of respondents used such forms of online participation as participation in project contests, crowdfunding (fundraising), crowdsourcing (implementation of joint projects), grassruting (creation of initiative groups for the protection and realization of citizens' rights). The conclusion is substantiated that in Ukraine there is a management and administrative model of civic Internet participation. Young citizens are interested in conventional forms of online participation, seeking to master them, and are aware of their responsibility for unconventional activities in the Internet space.
