Abstract

In the article it has been theoretically justified and empirically proved that the successful development of emotional resilience of individuals who went through traumatic events is conditioned by the manifestation of their neuroticism and anxiety. As opposed to the usual approach, when therapist is oriented at the average model of conduct, the choice of strategy and tactics of rehabilitation activities is suggested according to the type of personality profile of the patient and presence or absence of positive experience of solving of adverse emotionally significant situations. The types of personality profiles of individuals with different levels of neuroticism and anxiety are defined empirically. This became possible thanks to the application of 5-level scale for the comparative, correlational, factorial, and factorial-correlational-cluster analysis of diagnostic data. For each of the defined profiles, the development of a kind of protocol for psychological assistance is foreseen.
