Abstract

The publication analyzes the different views of researchers on the definition of "intercultural foreign language communicative competence" and its essence. In particular, the basic model of intercultural communicative competence of British linguist M. Bayram is characterized, its role in the teaching of foreign languages in gymnasium is emphasized.
