Abstract

The leading means of realizing the primary aim of teaching a foreign language in a gymnasium is a competence-based approach, which provides for the formation of students’ key competences as a result of their learning. The basis for the formation of key competences is the subject foreign language communicative competence and its components (linguistic, speech and sociolinguistic competences).
