Abstract

The peculiarities of the development of the educational center of civil society in Ukraine, which focuses on the main aspects of actualization of civil society in developed countries of the world, are considered. Since the transformation of the authoritarian paradigm towards a democratic one in education has taken place in recent decades, in the condition of building a democratic Ukraine, which consolidates democracy, its educational branch should be based on democratic principles, procedures and conditions. For over two centuries, this idea has been advocated in world philosophy and pedagogy, which established a democratic paradigm as the basis for building a democratic state, civil society and a citizen's personality. It is concluded that democratization should cover all periods of age formation of a personality – from birth, childhood, youth to maturity and so on. Therefore, the article has it that the democratic principles, procedures and conditions must be unique for the life of the personality, while having their qualitative and quantitative age-specifics. It is substantiated that the essence of democratic paradigm, democratic principles and procedures of Ukrainian education should be better understood, developed and translated into the language of didactics, implemented in appropriate methods and technologies of education and propessional training. This should help to better understand the historical experience of its development, accumulated by foreign and domestic philosophers, sociologists, educators and psychologists, and most importantly – the awareness of the acute need for the democratization of the country and society. The data presented in the article will be useful for deploying a comprehensive work concerning the construction of an educational center of an effective civil society in Ukraine, as a form of direct democracy and the conditions for social and economic progress of the Ukrainian people.
