Abstract

The article covers the international experience of legislative provision of adult education, which has a long history, is characterized by systematic, continuity and peculiarities. It is emphasized that the education of adults is an important component of lifelong education, the further development of which requires the development of new approaches to its legal regulation. An important prerequisite for the preparation of such a bill is the study of international experience, in particular the experience of France. The results of his comprehension may be useful in developing the relevant legislation in Ukraine. Characteristics of the education system of adults in France, represented by three groups of educational institutions. Some of its provisions can be used in the elaboration of the Law of Ukraine on adult education. It is shown that formulating policy in the field of adult education, European countries are paying more attention not only to their economic expediency, whose role is determined by the labor market, but also increases the importance of the socio-cultural component, since education becomes the determining factor for both professional and personality development. In the near future will play a leading role for the effective inclusion of people in society.
