Abstract

The article deals with the problem of social well-being of the individual. It has been shown that the problem of well-being is particularly relevant for middle-aged people (36-50 years). In the theoretical and psychological terms of environmental psychology, this issue in the context of lifestyle is relevant to the problem of determining the functional place of wellbeing in the structure of a person’s life activity. To search for an answer to this question, we conducted a series of theoretical and experimental research, which covered the three leading aspects of the organization of personal activity. This is, firstly, the activity aspect associated with the individual's own life activity, secondly, the communicative aspect associated with the peculiarities of the interpersonal relations of the individual, and thirdly, the intermediate aspect associated with the features of perception and assessment of the general situation of life activity. On the basis of theoretical and experimental research, three factors of the personal significance of well-being in the structure of the lifestyle of middle-aged people were identified - satisfaction with life status, changes in the structure of interpersonal stancia, perception and assessment of the general situation of life activity. It is shown that the transition to the idea of well-being is a manifestation of the process of socialization of the individual in adulthood. It has a basic vector of life care, which is detectable at a minimum at the level of care for: loved ones, own body, environmental friendliness, correctness of the flow of life.
