Abstract

In the article is analyzed the substantiates the necessity of development of research abilities in children, the essence of the concepts «research abilities», «research behavior», «research activity», «research training». The author describes the basic principles of research training and the structure of the educational program, focused on the systematic development of research capabilities. The stages of research activity of children are described. Particular attention is paid to the method of experiment as an instrument for the development of research abilities of children aged 5-7 years, examples of experiments for children of this age are given. The basic requirements for the teacher, necessary for the effective development of the research abilities of children, are also highlighted.
