Abstract

The article analyzes the characteristics of the educational process in special educational institutions, which is carried out according to special curricula and programs in conjunction with remedial and rehabilitation and treatment-and-prophylactic work. Shows the solution of the issue of children with special needs of social adaptation in society in 1991-2000. independent Ukraine. The work of special educational institutions on the realization of the right to equal access to quality education for children with special educational needs has been analyzed. Highlighted, then a special general education boarding school for children with physical or mental disabilities is a state general education and correctional and remedial educational institution that meets the needs of children with physical or mental disabilities in general education, social assistance and rehabilitation.
