Abstract

The personal-role modeling is grounded and conceptualized as a phenomenon of role interaction, which implies in choosing and mastering the structural and functional "canvas" of actions and planning for further interaction. The importance of self-regulation of the personality and its subjective properties in the active social behavior of young people is pointed out, which is based on the ability to personal-role modeling of social and interpersonal roles related with the role of a citizen. Thus, the resource for activating of social behavior of young people is personal-role modeling as a psychological mechanism for mastering loyal and successful roles as modes of action in various situations of social interaction. Psychological technologies of personal-role modeling and practical empirical findings can be used in the psychological accompaniment and formation of active social behavior of young people in the process of political participation. When approaching from the position of modeling to social activity, the attention is focused on the formation of internal personal determinants featuring behavior of such a kind, which allows revision and improving currently used stimulants of the young people activities as members of civil society.
