Abstract

The article presented the geographical component of the content of the primary education in the curriculums and the textbooks during the struggle of the Ukrainian people for their independence and the Ukrainianization of the schools (1900–1917 years). The content of the curriculums and the textbooks of this period are revealed; the main and additional articles of textbooks, their device of the organization of assimilation and illustrative material were described, as well the positive aspects and disadvantages were highlighted. The peculiarities of the primary school education in 1900-1917 were depicted.
