Abstract

A classic example of a country with a centralized education management system is France. The issue of organizing the activities of public (partly private) educational institutions in France is traditionally governed by laws, government directives, instructions from the central education authority and controlled by numerous officials. The trend towards decentralization does not contradict the fact that the Ministry of National Education is primarily responsible for the state of education in France.
