Abstract
The article deals with the component approach to the formation of the content and expected results of educational and cognitive activity of students (knowledge, activity and value). The author emphatically paid attention to the peculiarities of each component and the methodological possibilities of its implementation in the process of teaching biology in the 8th Grade.
