Abstract
The article deals with the bipolarity of meaning of the concept “economic education”, which is considered by the domestic and modern scientists, from the point of view of professional training of economists of all specialties and a set of specific economic knowledge. The author analyzes the historical stages of the formation and development of the economy on the territory of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland. The article reveals the specific characteristics of activity of the network of higher education institutions of the economic profile of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland. The common and distinctive features of the system of training of specialists in the economic sector at universities of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland are determined.
