Abstract

As a result of pedagogical researches, the following positive features of the use of teaching materials in geography lessons were discovered: all students are involved in the process; the cognitive activity of the students increases; all types of memory develop in a complex manner, the efficiency of memorization increases, and, therefore, the strength of the acquired knowledge is ensured; the individual peculiarities of each student are taken into account; Generalization and systematization of geographical knowledge is carried out; children are accustomed to independent work with textbooks, tutorials, atlases and other sources of geographic information.
