Abstract
The article presents a draft curriculum for the Ukrainian language for the 5th grade of schools with national languages of instruction for discussion by scientists, methodologists and teachers. Structurally, the program consists of an explanatory note and the actual content of the training, which is represented by four content lines (speech, linguistic, sociocultural, activity). The explanatory note to the program covers the theoretical and methodological approaches to the definition of the content of teaching and some aspects of the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language as a state language.
