Abstract
The results of the analysis of the psychological and pedagogical foundations of competency-oriented learning of the students are highlighted; рrinciples of selection of pedagogical tools for teaching biology on a competent basis are singled out; attention is paid to the principle of personal orientation and the principle of priority of developing forms and methods.
