Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of philosophical, psychological, and methodological works, the essence of the concepts of "value", "value picture of the world", "value orientations", "internalizations" is clarified. The emphasis is on the importance of the value component as a component of the internal structure of competence. It is ascertained how the mechanism of value internalization of the 9th form pupils takes place, the conditions for organizing this process in the Ukrainian language lessons are determined. Based on the assertion that internalizations are a holistic process and carried out both on the intellectual and emotional and sensory levels of perception of the individual, the importance of realization during the study of the linguistic themes of the sociocultural content line, which is aimed at the awareness and assimilation of common cultural and national values by students, is emphasized.
