Abstract

The research is focused on the historical-psychological analysis of the emergence of applied psychology in Ukraine and the foundations for creating a psychological service in the education system as a form of introduction of scientific psychological knowledge into the practice of educational activity. It substantiates the use of project methodology as a methodical unit of professional activity of practical psychologists. The work outlines the theoretical principles of the study of the phenomenon of psychological practice, defines the role and place of applied psychology in the system of psychological knowledge and social practice. The practical application of the obtained results was translated into creation of organizational-functional models of the psychological service of the education system.
