Abstract
The article speaks about A.S. Makarenko, who is one of those outstanding teachers who combined the talent of an educator and writing talent, subtle knowledge of the child’s psychology and the gift of a scientist, the talent of a journalist and public figure. It is shown that A.S. Makarenko was a complex and unusual man, so far his face and upbringing activity to this day causes many heated debates and admiration. The article reveals the goals of education according to A. Makarenko and his methods, and also developed a theoretical and methodological basis of education.
