Abstract
Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (9 Berlynskoho str.) The author stresses the importance of humanitarian disciplines in forming the students’ readiness to defend the Homeland as a result of military-patriotic education. The role of history, language and literature, and geography is outlined concerning formation of a conscious citizen-patriot of Ukraine.
