Abstract

The realignment raises the issue of training specialists for the foster care system for children in Ukraine who would be qualified in the peculiarities of children development within situations of the multifaceted influences of deprivation nature. The practice of societal profession specialists slowly "includes" existing developments in this area, which therewith reduces social changes related to the spread of children foster care and the formation of its professional support system. The article grounding on the results of classical researches in the field of deprivation affects emphasizes that the diagnosis should be based on three levels of social functioning starting with the macro‐level (the level of social policy embodied in the socio‐economic conditions of the child growth) and micro‐level (individual preconditions for child growth related to its psychophysiological characteristics) and completing with the meso‐level, which is actually the basis for assessing the action force of the deprivation affect, the child has suffered in a situation of social growth. A social worker performs the expresses estimation of the action force of deprivation affect developed by the author of the article and it becomes the framework for further specified studies by various specialists of a professional team, such as medical specialists, psychologists, special‐needs experts, speech therapists and other engaging if required. It is imperative that a social worker conducts the coordination of such work. This is due to the fact that the functioning of the individual always takes place in the social sphere, where the consequences of deprivation affects manifest and the processes of recovery and reintegration occur. Professional teamwork is claimed as the most adequate form of assessment of the child deprivation affects and the creation and implementation of an adjustment and development plan to restore the processes of personal growth of the child. The continuum of diagnostic tools elaborated during the theoretical and practical analysis covers the age range from the birth of a child to the lawful age.
