Abstract

It is identified the leading cause of personal transformations – the surrounding reality challenges, experienced as significant events. The following consequences of positive and negative events are revealed: life-building reformatting, a change in the pace of personal transformations, a change in the duration of the mobilization-minimization phases. A personality type has been established, whose needs are not satisfied under the influence of war with its destructive, negative events - this is a fragile personality, striving for stability, predictability, and peace. The opposite type, which experiences negative events much easier, is an anti-fragile personality striving for dynamics, novelty, and changes. 4 criteria of post-traumatic life-building of a fragile and anti-fragile personality have been developed: event criterion (determines the specifics of life episodes receiving the status of the event); criterion of historicity (characterizes the degree of the event understanding, its inclusion in the life-history); predictability criterion (establishes a way of seeing the life-building future); error criterion (reveals how to respond to omissions, errors in the life-construction). Post-traumatic growth is defined as a process of anti-fragileness increasing, providing continuous self-study, more productive interaction with yourself, the world, and other people.
