Abstract

The article deals with the correlation between the concepts of polytechnic education and STEM-education. Implementation of STEM-education directions involves provision of conditions for intellectual, physical, artistic and aesthetic development of students, education of a citizen of a democratic society, which recognizes education, creativity, culture of the highest values, indispensable factors of social progress. We are of the opinion that STEM education can be analogous to polytechnic education in the field of high-tech manufacturing.
