Abstract

The article provides an overview of Ukrainian legislation on the responsibility of parents for the education of children with special educational needs. The urgency of the review is that detection of a developmental disorder at an early age and early correction makes it possible for effective corrective work to be undertaken, but the parents' objection to the development of the child and the ignoring of the need for correction. In these circumstances, explanatory work with parents on their responsibility before the law is required.
