Abstract

The article justifies significance of human values in the processes of self-determination, self-realization and professional self-development. It is proved that the correspondence of human values with regard to choosing a profession, a sphere of activity with one’s interests and abilities, a level of aspirations and achievements in the implementation of comprehensive professional and functional tasks, philosophical views on learning, self-development, self-development and self-actualization is the leading motive for holistic self-realization of the individual in a dynamic and unstable world. Considerable attention is paid to an objective need to provide constant psychological and pedagogical support in planning a career, to develop some views on professional success, to assist adults in retraining and advanced training, to create optimal conditions for self-realization, to design and implement the programmes for changing career orientations at different stages of professional growth. The main mechanisms for organizing such support are characterized.
