Abstract
The article presents a spectrum of motives of direct and indirect interaction schoolchildren with nature, importance of values and needs for the formation of motives; empirical data on motives of different age groups of students of institutions of general secondary education have been presented. Moreover, the role of ecological didactic games-metamorphoses in the harmonization of schoolchildren's relationships with nature has been outlined.
