Abstract
The article describes the features of the educational process of children with hearing impairment. The author draws attention to the fact that only in the conditions of the independence of Ukraine has the opportunity to learn object sign language. The state educational policy which in 1991-2010 is shown. Directly to not leave out a single link of educational and educational work and was considered an integral ideological component of the culture of the entire multinational Ukrainian people. The content and status of primary and secondary education of special schools was aimed at reviving, preserving the culture and native language of children with hearing impairments. What is the great value of the subject “Ukrainian Sign Language” in learning and life of children with hearing impairments. The author of the article notes that in carrying out the tasks of comprehensive personality development of each student, secondary school in the conditions of independence of Ukraine and the teacher tried to give knowledge to children with hearing sign language not only at the level of the subject, but also in individual classes.
