Abstract
The paper discusses the results of an empirical study of the ideas of an adult about self-designing, in particular, the reflexive aspect of self-designing an adult personality. The object of the research were samples of individual self-designing discourses, obtained during a prolonged survey (mostly online) based on the author's method of "torn" narrative. It was found that the individual discourse of self-design in adults is predominantly unconscious, unreflexed, and not articulated. In the course of the survey, the phenomena of the formation and deepening of the reflection of their own self-design by the survey participants were revealed (we called it “reactive reflection”). The analysis led to the conclusion that a specially organized survey on personal growth and self-design, which initiates a certain kind of narrative practice, acts as an effective technology of self-awareness of the person, and also plays the role of narrative training.
