Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study that revealed that the most common media practices are: among youth – the use of the Internet and social networks in particular; among persons older than 35 years there is a tendency to switch from the use of television to the Internet (search for information through search engines, news aggregators). The basic peculiarities of interaction with media practices by community are defined: productive peculiarities, characterized by the rational introduction of media practices and empathic attitude towards internally displaced persons, as well as by the contemplative position, which manifests itself in the use of various media practices for the accumulation of information and in the neutral evaluation of consumed media content; peculiarities of interaction in destructive ways are determined by the paternalistic attitude to media content, its chaotic consumption, the negative attitude towards displaced persons and the shifting of responsibility to state institutions, as well as the position of avoidance, which manifests itself in consciously limiting the use of media practices, in the absence of a clear relation to events with the consequences of the military conflict; an intermediate peculiarity of interaction with media practices is the emotional-intuitive position, which is manifested in the intuitive search and interaction with media content, and the attitude to socio-political events in the country is based on emotional factors (empathy, sympathy, pity).
