Abstract

The article is dedicated to the actual problem of bringing up the positive motivation for studying in students. The article analyzes the views of researchers on the problem of the emergence of motivation through the prism of cognitive psychology. Analyzing different approaches to the research of motivation field, author outlines two main ways of the research of the emergence of motivation: 1) Influence of cognitive processes on the emergence of motivation; 2) Influence of affective processes on the emergence of motivation. Detailed consideration is given to theoretical and empirical research. It is emphasized the importance of studying the mechanisms and ways of creating a motivational component of activity through the unity of cognitive and affective processes.
