Abstract
The article deals with the analytical review of scientific and methodical works on the problem of socialization of children of preschool age. In particular, the author presents how to use the works of fiction as means of development children’s social awareness. Scientists and practitioners highlight on a great social and educational influence of fiction literature and artistic speech activity on social development of growing up personality, reorientation of their values.
