Abstract

The textbook is based on the principles of personally oriented, competency and activity approaches, corresponds to the current program and the State Standard of General secondary education .. This is the first textbook in Ukraine whose content is aimed at forming key competencies, education of a citizen of the Ukrainian state, a speaker who not only possesses a minimum of theoretical knowledge but also understands the meaning of the language for him, for society and for the state, is an active carrier. It strives to form its own speech culture, culture-oriented environment, linguistic sensuality and linguistic taste. As the communicative function is implemented primarily by syntax, the authors propose to study this section not only as a complex system, but above all as a means of thinking and action. By mastering each unit of syntax as a means for expressing a request, an order, an admiration, an explanation, etc., students will feel the practical significance and the need for assimilation of the theory and in the everyday practice of the language. The authors offer, learning the syntax of complex sentences, learn to think critically, reason, express their thoughts. Equally important advantage of this textbook is the formation of a responsible attitude towards each word, written, printed, spoken, belief in oneself and its possibilities, values, attitude towards the language, to itself and to the world, surrounds them.
