Abstract

Use of dolls in art therapy in working with image I is analyzed of is in the article. The function of dolls in the historical context, the properties of magic dolls, the features of the use of doll-marionette are considered. Dolls therapy is defined as a kind of art therapy. Creation and use of dolls for the purpose of healing is expected in dolls therapy. Features of using puppets in the therapeutic process are described. The methodical principles, tasks and areas of use of Dolls therapy, mechanisms of psychotherapeutic influence, stages of work with dolls in art therapy are analyzed. The use of dolls in folk art therapy is considered too. The advantages and risks of using Dolls therapy are determined. The actualization of magical thinking and client infantilisation are highlighted among the risks.
