Abstract

The study guide “Near and Together: Socializing the Elder Preschooler” was prepared by a team of employees of the Laboratory for Preschool Education and Upbringing of the Institute for the Problems of Upbringing of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine based on a longitudinal study that covered regions of Ukraine. The publication contains a brief theoretical substantiation, models of socializing educational process, aimed at the formation of social and communicative competence of senior preschool children and enrichment of their social experience. The manual presents the original practical developments of teachers of basic preschool institutions who participated in the experimental component of the study. The presented materials can be useful for teachers of preschool educational institutions, children's development centres, students of pedagogical universities.
