Abstract
The peculiarities of the psychophysical development of blind children and low vision children require a specific organization of the content of education, methods and techniques of their education and upbringing. Specially organized teaching contributes to the development of vital competencies in children with visual impairment. Therefore, the curriculum of the school for children with visual impairments provides a block of correctional and developmental activities, one of the components of which is orientation in space.
