Abstract

The article briefly describes the three components of the current state of education of persons with impaired mental and physical development: achievements, problems and ways of development. Attention is focused on the inhibitory factors that restrain the efficiency of the process of training and education of the specified category of persons, and suggests some directions for its optimization.
