Abstract
The author defines and describes the traditional and up-to-date scientific approaches to the creation of the Ukrainian school textbook. The perspective directions for the development of Ukrainian textbook development are described: 1) the study and application of international experience in the creation and assessment of Ukrainian textbooks (in particular, the formation of content, the definition of the structure and format of textbooks, the application of international e-learning resources and methods, technologies and criteria for evaluating the school book); 2) development of an effective system for assessing the quality of Ukrainian textbooks based on the results of studies of domestic experience and international and national criteria for evaluating the study book (in particular, taking into account such as: innovation, differentiation of content content (which is especially important in conditions of active inclusion of inclusion), stability, specialization; 3) development of cooperation with foreign scientists and teachers in the development of school integrated textbooks for institutions of secondary education (schools of national nshin in Ukraine and foreign schools, which officially study Ukrainian language, educational institutions of the Ukrainian diaspora); 4) presentation of products of domestic text-books on international educational events (book fairs, exhibitions, conferences on the issues of creating quality textbooks) and the participation of Ukrainian publishing houses in the Best European Schoolbook award, Best European Learning Materials (Best European Learning Materials); 5) the entry of Ukrainian school publishers into international associations, educational media and associations (for example, the Association of European Educational Publishers, the International Association for the Study of School Textbooks).
