Abstract
The article deals with the concept of plagiarism, describes its varieties. An analysis of the concept of academic plagiarism as one of the types of academic fraud has been analyzed. The Ukrainian legislation on plagiarism is analyzed. The main approaches to revealing plagiarism in author's scientific publications and possible ways of its prevention are described.
