Abstract

The relevance of adult education in the modern socio-economic conditions is substantiated in the article. The attention to the needs for expansion of the service providers for non-formal adult education has been drawn. The priority of non-formal adult education development has been grounded. It has been emphasized that the development of the regulatory framework, scientific and methodological components of non-formal adult education constitute a comprehensive assessment, analysis of the thematic spectrum of adult learning needs and opportunities for their satisfaction, quality assessment of the territorial and financial accessibility of the various types of educational programs. The article deals with some aspects of non-formal adult education centers. The priority areas of adult education in Ukraine have been outlined. The necessities in consolidating the efforts of public, government, and business sectors to the development of education for different categories of adults, and in the development of civil society in Ukraine have been emphasized.
