Abstract

In the article, paid attention questions of professional development of teachers and trainers of establishments of vocational training in the countries of the European Union (EU) are opened. Attention is paid to the functional duties that teachers and trainers perform in vocational education institutions. Emphasis is placed on the fact that teachers and trainers strengthen the links between vocational education and employers through the creation of new curricula, the provision of better educational services, the provision of high-quality apprenticeship in the system of dual professional training, the implementation of other forms of training in the workplace, The provisions of the Bruges communiqué regarding flexible systems for the training of pedagogical personnel are disclosed. It is proved that the teachers who work in the vocational education institutions of the EU usually there also improve their knowledge, skills and skills and, on the basis of this, receive new qualifications. In contrast, coaches carry out their professional development where they work, in particular in companies / firms / enterprises. Qualification requirements for teachers of vocational education institutions, which are established by the legislation of the EU countries, are analyzed. Teacher training programs are covered. Attention is paid to the fact that the professional development of teachers and coaches in vocational education is their right, which is not always protected by collective agreements. Attention is paid to the programs of professional development of teachers of vocational education institutions in the EU countries, which are implemented in universities, institutes and other educational institutions. Attention is focused on partnerships between vocational education institutions and labor market participants, which are considered important in ensuring the quality of training future professionals in accordance with the requirements of employers. It has been found that such EU countries as Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Austria, Sweden implement programs that are financed by public funds supporting the professional development of teachers and trainers.
