Abstract

This article focuses on the problem of inconsistency of the practical orientation of the competence approach of the existing orientation of the theory and practice of vocational training in the system of pedagogical education. Definition of the concept of "competence", "competence", "educational competence", the foreign experience of implementing the competence approach in the professional selection of future teachers is highlighted.
