Abstract
The article deals with methods of education of moral self-consciousness of elder teenagers in extracurricular activities, directed at the formation of such values that could contribute to self-development, self-education of a young personality. The educational possibilities of using modern forms and methods of education are substantiated. A variety of testing and educational methods is shown in the application material. During the formative stage of the experiment, the author used a huge number of forms of extracurricular activities: after the object of impact (individual, mass, group, collective); in the areas of education (aesthetic, physical, moral, mental, labor, environmental, and economic). The author has widely used verbal, interactive, reflexive, games, visual and practical methods of education. In extra-curricular activities, cognitive and educational games were widely used. The teacher created situations of novelty, relevance, moral emotions, amusement, and amazement. The author has also developed educational classes for pupils of 7-9 grades for development of moral self-consciousness, which touch upon personal, human and national dignity, form a sense of self-sufficiency, responsibility, freedom.
