Abstract
The publication analyzes the role of the intellectual component in the spiritual culture of pedagogical staff. First, the cultural and historical conditions of the emergence of spiritual culture and the formation of man as a social being, its differences from the animal world are described. The role of primary and secondary socialization of the individual is considered. Also, the role and functions of a teacher in this process, his mission in shaping the future generation and the significance of his profession for society are analyzed. The spiritual culture of the teacher as one of the components of the general professional pedagogical culture is considered, its features are revealed. Also, the intellectual component is considered as an instrument by which the teacher focuses on the ideal of humanity in his professional activities. The correlation of the intellectual sphere of the personality with the value-semantic sphere is analyzed, the importance of how the person uses his intellect for the benefit of society, or from selfish motives, is noted. The influence of the level of general intelligence on the manifestation of spirituality is described. Also, social and emotional intelligence, as a component of spiritual intelligence independent of the general intelligence, is considered. Finally, recommendations are made that the development of the intellectual component of the spiritual culture of the teaching staff.
