Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of teaching syntactical units, their use in the course of communication in the Ukrainian language lessons in grade 8 in the new textbook of the Ukrainian language (authors V. Novosilov, N. Bondarenko). The system of work, the exercises, tasks and questions of which are characterized by an orientation towards achievement of the final results are analyzed. The attention is focused on the need for students to master the peculiarities of the functioning and use of complicated simple sentences in their own speech. Methodical recommendations for working on the study of the specified types of sentences in the Ukrainian language lessons in grade 8 are given. To illustrate the theoretical positions, examples of a system of exercises and tasks aimed at forming a competent linguistic personality are presented.
